Private IP vs. public IP:
Private IP:
- An IP address used within a local network
- Usually starts with 192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, or 172.16.x.x
- Cannot be accessed directly from the internet
Public IP:
- The internet address assigned to you by your ISP
- The IP address others see when you access the internet
- Can be accessed over the internet
